DIY Green Tea, Aloe Vera And Honey Face Mask
If you like green tea, then you’ve probably heard of Matcha powder. Matcha is from the same plant as green tea, but is a far more concentrated form (and generally, more expensive, too). That’s because Matcha has a higher concentration of polyphenols known as chlorophyll, which has antioxidant properties. In fact, the matcha form of green tea has 137 times more antioxidants than the regular version. Just imagine what that could do for your skin!
Aloe vera gel is incredibly moisturizing without being oily, so it works well even if you have oily skin. (Your skin still needs to stay hydrated, even if you don’t want to be adding any oil.) The gel not only fights signs of ageing, but encourages new skin growth, helps your skin to heal, and reduces inflammation (pimples, anyone?).
And then there’s organic honey. I mean, really, who hasn’t heard about the benefits of raw organic honey? Forget the sore throat; honey does absolute miracles for your skin. It’s also loaded with antioxidants; plus, it helps give your skin a healthy glow. It’s antibacterial and also helps to unclog your pores, so if you suffer from acne or have acne-prone skin, you need to try this. You Will Need:
- 1 tablespoon matcha powder.
- 1 teaspoon raw organic honey.
- 2 teaspoons aloe vera gel.
Method:
Start by washing your face and patting it dry. Then mix the ingredients together, and spread the mixture over your face (avoiding your eyes and lips). Leave it on for at least 20 minutes, or up until one hour.
How Often Should You Use It?
That’s it; plain, simple and easy. I’d recommend using this mask once a week, and you can also use it as a spot treatment for particular problem areas. After using it just once, you should notice clearer, brighter and better skin!
