These are precisely the kinds of imperfections which foundations attempt to even out, but you probably don’t want to resort to applying a ton of foundation which could cake up your face. It’s kind of counter-productive.

The L’Oréal Pro Glow won’t work for everyone, but it goes on very smooth and it keeps your face looking radiant! Does it work for 24 hours? Not in my experience. But this is one thing which will surely vary. Those with dry skin will probably enjoy using it, while it may be best for oily-skinned users to use less or maybe skip it altogether.

There are 12 shades to choose from, but this fluctuates as items are introduced and discontinued over time. According to L’Oréal’s website, this item costs $12.99.

L’Oréal Pro Matte Review

L’Oréal Pro Matte Foundation.

This foundation offers a medium and highly buildable coverage on the skin. The demi-matte finish is seriously smooth, and it contains no alcohol, sunscreen, or talc. Not to say that this has all-perfect ingredients, because it doesn’t. But the L’Oréal Pro Matte is a factory-made item and an everyday brand, so you have to allow for some of these drawbacks. It’s up to you and your list of priorities, whether or not this foundation suits your wants and needs.

Due to their formula, matte foundations will often yield better results than others when worn in hot or humid weather. This one from L’Oréal includes a lot of water in it, and this will keep your pores from drying out. Overall, it is comfortable to wear and easy to remove, and the coverage is great.

Much like the Pro Glow, I suspect that this item will not last 24 hours outside of a very controlled environment. More than anything, it depends on the makeup which you place on top of it. There are 22 shades to choose from. But like the Pro Glow, some shades may come and go. The price of this item is $12.99.

L’Oréal Pro Glow Vs. Pro Matte – Which Is Superior?

Establishing superiority of one or the other of these foundation sounds great in theory. The internet loves a good versus battle, right? But in the question of the L’Oréal pro glow vs. pro matte foundations, choosing one and calling it superior is not really technically true, since it invariably depends on the metrics and parameters that you use. For myself, I prefer more of a glow during wintertime and matte more during the summer.

The “superior” one for me at this time has got to be the Pro Glow, even though it contains alcohol. There is something about that subtle shine which makes it stand out for me. I enjoy the effect it has on my skin, but if you have oily skin then you may be interested in skipping over the Pro Glow from the beginning. If and when you are in doubt over which one to get, get the matte one, since it has fewer things which can get in the way.

Also, and this may be just me and my inadequacies, the numbers on the different squeeze bottles don’t correspond. It can get mighty confusing. Honestly, I don’t know exactly why the guys and gals at L’Oréal did it that way. But they did, and now it is up to us to get it right and to avoid getting mixed up.

Although, keep in mind that mixing two shades will be able to provide you with a much wider palette or spectrum to operate with. And at these relatively low costs, there is no reason not to experiment.
